Make A Swag Wreath

The price of a wreath in the store is staggering. Making your own wreath is budget-friendly and very easy to do. A swag wreath is one of the easiest wreaths to put together. Visit your local craft store to find all the supplies you need to make a beautiful wreath with dried flowers and pretty ribbon.

Instructions

1. Cut the grapevine into 24-inch pieces. Cut approximately 20 pieces or enough to make the swag as full as you like. Alternately, buy a grapevine swag at your local craft store.

2. Secure the grapevines together using the floral wire. Place the wire around the center of the grapevines and twist around several times to hold securely.

3. Hot glue the dried flowers onto the grapevine. Add some greenery for more color and fullness.

4. Cut a 6-inch piece of ribbon. Hot glue one end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath covering the wire and let dry. Wrap the rest of the ribbon around the center of the wreath. Glue the loose end to the back of the wreath. Cut to fit if necessary.

5. Cut another piece of ribbon about 24 inches long. Make a bow. Hot glue to the front center of the wreath. Let dry. Or attach using a piece of wire by wrapping the wire around the center of the bow and tying around the middle of the wreath.

6. Make a loop of wire for hanging the wreath. Insert a 6-inch piece of wire through the back of the wreath. Twist together the loose ends. Hang the wreath from a hook.
