Where Are Acuras Manufactured

Acura is a luxury car brand that was introduced in the United States by the Honda Motor Company in 1986. Honda's goal was to create a separate luxury division for its products, according to Edmunds. The brand became an instant success, and Acuras are manufactured in several factories throughout the world in 2010.

Japan

The Acura TSX is an entry-level sports sedan that is based on the Honda Accord. This model is manufactured at the Honda assembly plant in Sayama, Saitama, Japan. The Acura RL, a luxury sedan, is also manufactured in the Sayama plant.

Canada

The Honda of Canada Manufacturing plants in Alliston, Ontario, Canada produce the Acura CSX, which is an entry-level luxury sedan available only in Canada. The Acura MDX luxury SUV and the ZDX mid-size crossover are also built in Alliston.

United States

The Acura TL (a mid-size luxury sports sedan) and the Acura RDX crossover SUV are both manufactured at the Marysville Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio. The TL is Acura's top-selling model as of August, 2010.
