1. Find a professional moving company in Iowa. You can search the Internet to find a company. Please see References for websites with company listings. You can use these sites to receive moving quotes from different professional companies. The company must have all of the paperwork and permits required to move the home. They will help you remove your home from the existing lot and move it to the new lot.
2. Review all current paperwork associated with your mobile home. If you are on a lease, review it for any possible restrictions. Inform your professional moving company in Iowa of this information. Ask your local taxing authority about any due property taxes, as most states will restrict mobile homes to be moved if there are any overdue taxes. Review all mortgages, loans or contracts, and ensure that they do not restrict your home from being relocated. You may also need to acquire specific insurance before moving.
