Candida Glabrata Symptoms

Candida glabrata is a common cause of candidiasis. Candida glabrata yeast fungus can be difficult to treat as it is resistant to common anti-fungal drugs and thus has a high mortality rate. It is more common in people who suffer from diabetes and a suppressed immune system. Candida can be present in food and other sources.


Vaginal Candida Glabrata


Symptoms of vaginal candida glabrata can include; abnormal white discharge, pain, itching and redness of the skin and mucous membranes.


Urinary Candida Glabrata


Urinary candida glabrata can cause pain with urination, bloating and fever. It can be more common in people who have experienced catheterizing.


Respiratory Candida Glabrata


If you have candida glabrata fungus in your respiratory system, you may experience difficulty breathing, wheezing, runny nose and sneezing.


Gastrointestinal Candida Glabrata


Some people with gastrointestinal candida glabrata experience no symptoms, others suffer from bloating, diarrhea, constipation or heartburn.


Musculoskeletal Candida Glabrata


While rare, musculoskeletal candida glabrata can cause bone deformity, pain, tenderness and abnormal drainage from a surgery site.
