Securely connect the Mag power plug to the wall outlet and computer.

MAG's flat panel LCD monitors feature widescreens, wall-mount options, Theater, Scenery and Game preset modes. For instance, the Mag Innovision GML226 features a 21.5-inch screen with 1920-by-1080 resolution, revealing vivid colors and color accuracy for enhanced movie and game enjoyment. Troubleshooting your Mag flat screen computer monitor when something goes wrong will help you save time and money in service calls.

Instructions

1. Make certain the power cord is connected firmly to the wall outlet, Mag monitor and to the adaptor if there is no image on the screen.

2. Adjust the brightness and contrast controls by pressing the Menu button, located under the flat panel monitor far left side of the Power button, if your monitor does not display an image. The Menu button brings up a small menu with monitor screen controls, listed in a circle. Use the Up or Down buttons next to the Menu button to navigate around the circle until you reach Brightness and Contrast. Press Menu to activate your selection, and then press Up or Down to adjust the brightness or contrast levels. Press Menu once again, then navigate to Exit, and press Menu.

3. Check to see if the Mag monitor in the power saving mode if it has no image. The power saving light appears orange instead of the usual green or blue when you turn on the power button.

4. Press the Auto button, located left of the Power button, beneath the Mag flat-screen monitor edge, if you find the image too small or too large on the screen. The Auto feature automatically adjusts your monitor's display to the highest performance per your monitor's Video Graphics Array (VGA) setting. For example, on a 19-inch Mag flat screen monitor with a resolution (dots and lines) of 1280 by 1024, the Auto button adjusts the horizontal frequency to 80 kHz and the vertical frequency to 75 Hz, the highest VGA setting for the 19-inch monitor.

5. Change the volume of your Mag monitor on the sound setting if your monitor has no or low sound. Locate the volume controls next to the Menu and Power controls on the edge of the monitor. This only applies to Mag monitors with built-in speakers. Also, adjust your computer's volume settings if the monitor appears to have no audio.
